Seven Families Left Homeless Following A Fire Incident In Elburgon, Nakuru

Seven families spent the night in the cold following a fire incident in Kasarani village in Molo, Nakuru County.

Residents said the fire broke out in one of the houses before spreading to adjacent units.

“We tried to put out the fire but our efforts bore no fruit.Strong winds helped fuel the fire,” they said.

The incident comes a month after twenty five families lost their belongings after a fire broke out in the area.

In 2021, three children, aged 4, 5 and 6 years perished after a fire razed down their home in Turi Farmer, Elburgon. In 2015, a fire broke out in Elburgon leaving five families homeless.

Locals have called on the government to address the perennial fires even as they seek permanent solutions to the matter.
