City Lawyer Hillary Cheboi has said that he is still in the Elgeyo Marakwet Senatorial race and his dream is to fix the current ills witnessed in the county.
Speaking to the press in Nairobi during a high consultative meeting geared towards the formation of Kibaset foundation, Cheboi said that he will vie for the senate in the county in 2027.
” We came, tested the waters, felt the weather and went back to the bush, however basing on the kind of sufferings and mayhem that has led to the increase of poverty among our people, i am still in the race,” he told the press.
The young vibrant advocate has planned several meet the people tours to mingle with the people in the county, collect their views and share with the current administration.
” Let nobody confuse this with early campaigns, we don’t intent to start campaigning now, what we are going to do is to give our ears to the people and listen to them, i will be launching the Kibaset foundation in coming months and i need to get some tips on what my people want the foundation to cater for,” he added.
So far Cheboi has without demanding a single coin represented over 500 residents from the county in various courts to get them help justice.
” Recently we were in Eldoret courts, Makadara courts in Nairobi, Milimani, Kiber Courts among others, we want all our people freed and walk to their homes in Elgeyo Marakwet,” he stated.
