Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja Coalition teams have termed the first sitting of dialogue at Bomas of Kenya successful and announced talks will kick off in earnest on Monday.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, the leader of the Azimio group, said the two sides have agreed to set up two technical teams with two rapporteurs.

“Speakers of both Houses will provide Hansard reporters because documents will be generated and they will be presented on the floors of the Senate and National Assembly,” he said.

He said the agenda of the discussions will be agreed upon on Monday.

“We are yet to agree on the agenda items. When we meet again we will agree on how to frame the agenda,” he stated.

He said the technical teams of both sides should sit by Friday.

“The meeting had a good demonstration of faith. We will not discuss the matters out there over the weekend. You will see good order,” he said.

National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah, the leader of the Kenya Kwanza side also termed the first meeting as successful.

“We will begin once we frame the agenda items. We do not have the luxury of failing,” he said.
