Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has assured his supporters that anti-government protests are still on.
This assurance came slightly over two hours after the protests failed to take off as planned.
The Opposition had on Friday announced that their anti-government demos would begin at 6 am to 6 pm.
The former Prime Minister in a tweet also shared a video saying that he was not interested in a handshake.
In a past video, Raila says they are holding demonstrations because it is the right thing to do.

This comes amidst uncertainty on whether there shall be protests in Nairobi or not.
Unlike on Monday last week, there has been no action in the CBD and with minimal cases of demos reported in parts of Kibra and Mathare.
Last week, Parliamentary leaders led protests in the CBD before they retreated to meet Raila and other Azimio principals at Serena Hotel.
Their second attempt to access the CBD was, however, thwarted by the police.
Today, all Azimio leaders have kept their moves a secret with even their whereabouts remaining unknown
