Demonstrators crippled transport activities along Kakamega -Kisimu highway.
The peaceful protests were within Mbale town.
This comes after the Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga asked his supporters to protest against President William Ruto’s regime from Date 2 of May.
Initially Odinga and Ruto had agreed on by partisan discussion.
In the by partisan discussions Azimio la umoja had picked Rarieda Mp Otiende Omollo
“We want the Government to lower the cost of living, check into CBC programs as well,” one of the protesters said.
This is the second time protests are taking place in Vihiga county.
Mass protests in the country began on March 30 after Raila urged his supporters to do so.
Odinga in his statement said the protests will go on until the head of state William Ruto’s administration heed their demands.
” We want him (President William Ruto) to lower the cost of living, check into CBC problems, IEBC recruitments, and to end tribal selections of government officials,” Raila said in a previous statements
