Opposition leader Raila Odinga has arrived at Kamukunji grounds for an Azimio rally where he is expected to give fresh directions on mass protests.
Raila on Thursday said he will announce during the rally resumption of weekly protests against President William Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza administration.
He said the mass demonstrations will run concurrently with the bipartisan parliamentary talks which seek to address the issues he has raised.
Most of the Azimio la Umoja leaders have accompanied Raila to the rally including co-principals Martha Karua of Narc-Kenya, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka and former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.
Azimio has questioned the seven member team selected by the Kenya Kwanza government in the bipartisan talks.
Raila has on many occasions insisted that if their demands are not met, the coalition will mobilise its supporters and return to the streets.
“We assure our people and Kenyans that our eyes are firmly on the ball, and reiterate that we shall go back to the people as the earliest sign of lack of seriousness by the other side,” he said.
