A man who allegedly posed as a police3 officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and allegedly attempted to evict security guards and staff at the land premise number LR/462 has been charged in court.
Daniel Kinyanjui Kimani was charged before Kibera Principal Magistrate Derrick Kuto but he denied the charges.
The court heard that the accused person allegedly committed the offense on February 1, 2023, at Kindaruma mall along Kindaruma road in the Kilimani area within Nairobi County.
He, however, denied the charges and through his lawyer urged the court to release him on lenient bond terms.
Court prosecutor Allan Mogere did not object to his release on bond.
The magistrate released him on an Sh100,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh50,000.
The court also directed that the accused person be supplied with all the witness statements that the prosecution intended to rely on during the entire trial.
The magistrate directed that the matter be mentioned on February 27 for a pre-trial.
