According to Kenyanmiror and the Africanwitnes, David Mapili, a law student from Mount Kenya University Parklands Campus is a Fraudster, this has been proved after he was charged in court with Sh13Million fraud years after he defrauded a businessman some Sh89million in fake Laptop tender Saga.
The court heard that the accused person committed on diverse dates between May 4 and November 18 , 2022 at Stanbic bank, two rivers branch within Nairobi County.
The Law student committed the offense alongside Advilaw consultant Limited.
When he appeared before Milimani Magistrate Lucas Onyina, the two of them jointly pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The court heard that they defrauded Gustavo Emilio Escobar, who is the complainant in the case.
In court the accused person through his lawyer pleaded for a lenient bond terms claiming that he was awaiting his examinations and produced an exam timetable and a student identity card in court,
The prosecution objected his release on bond on the ground that he was a flight risk.
The prosecution also told the court that the accused person lacked a fixed abode.
