City Lawyer Hillary Cheboi Kibaset has lauded plans by Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen over his suggestion of relocating hawkers and markets away from the busy highways.
Cheboi while speaking on the matter at a Nairobi hotel has also urged the CS to consider moving churches away from highways as part of the mitigation measures.
The vibrant lawyer who also contested for the Elgeyo Marakwet Senatorial race primaries on the UDA ticket, condoled with the families of the deceased and urged Kenyans to pray for them.
“I want to commend CS Kipchumba Murkomen on his plan of relocating markets and hawkers to a safer place away from the busy highways. In addition I urge the CS to consider moving churches away from the highway to prevent future accidents from occuring, we stand and pray for the families that has lost their lovef ones,” said Cheboi.
Cheboi also called for political tolerance amid political divisions in the country .
” I call for political tolerance, the country need to heal for a good environment that will spur economic development,” he said
