Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi has said his party will support calls to impeach Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza
He said spoke on Monday at Elsa Hotel,North Imenti constituency Meru county.
Aburi said Mwangaza will be impeached by December.
“Meru leaders and residents supported you after your impeachment thinking you will change but you haven’t you are still Okolea even after being warned about it by the senate,” Aburi said.
He said that they held National Delegate Conference and resolved to send Mwangaza home.
“I had resolved to support Meru governor Mwangaza I campaigned against Peter Munya and he lost I campaigned against Kiraitu Murungi and he lost I had hope Mwangaza would be different than previous governor but he is worst,” Aburi said.
The party has two elected MCAs Stephen Gakure (Kiguchwa) Julius Miriti Kaimbo(Mikinduri) and one nominated MCA Zipporah Gakii Manyara.
Flanklin Mwiti Karuti a party officials said they began citing problems in Meru a long time ago but they gave Mwangaza time to change.
“We are asking the three members to support Impeachment against Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza we have withrawn our support so we are saying Meru is not headed in the right direction the people of Meru do not want mattresses,” he said.
Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza was saved by the senate in December after being impeached by Meru MCAs.
A second impeachment would be an uphill task for the Meru governor to climb.
