Mark Mbogo Okul in court over Sh3million fuel theft

Businessman Mark Mbogo Okul was on has been charged with stealing 700 jerrycans 20 litre Rina cooking oil.

He allegedly committed the offence on 20th December 2021.

The prosecution alleged that the oil was initially worth shs 3,192,000 and that he was to remit shs 5,516,000 after selling the oil.

The oil belonged to Daniel Ngumbau Muia and had been stored at NCPB depot in Industrial area.

He was arrested on Thursday and arraigned the same day.

He was charged with 6 counts including forgery.

Mbogo pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of shs 1 million and a surety of sh 2million by a Milimani Magistrate Court.

The case will be mentioned on 9th September.
